The character controls and the camera mechanic are implemented really well. However, there’s one problem I see in a lot of PS1-style games: the shaders and pixelation are overused, which makes the game look a bit strange.
It’s also a shame that there are no sound effects in the game. I think they would add a lot to the atmosphere.
Another issue I ran into a couple of times was that when I entered a certain section, the camera didn’t switch to the next one, so I had to restart the game a few times. Some of the colliders are also placed a little awkwardly, but oh well.
Overall, I think the game deserves some more polish and development.
(That’s the second game in this jam where I’ve said this. I might start counting how many times I say it haha.)
