How does the game fit the theme?
I built my game around the concept of control... control is better than trust

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Only the sound effects and the font were sourced from the web

"Control is better than trust" is such a slick spin on the theme, and taking the Papers, Please route with managing incoming ships is a great foundation! For a solo dev project built under crazy time constraints, you put together a solid prototype with awesome potential. Keep cooking on this one!

I like the Papers, Please idea, but it’s a little buggy.

i really enjoyed the concept of this game, but i think it needs a few changes.

one of the changes is that u can reject every ship. to fix this, u should add some sort of punishment if u reject a correct ship or make a requirement to meet a weight quota to progress to the next level so ships will be coming until the quota is met.

another thing is the ui, it has too many blank space and it can be hard to read. so i recommend polishing the ui to make it look nicer and readable (by scaling the ui to make it fit the text instead of taking too much space of the screen).

also (idk if this is intentional) but after the first level when requesting information can be redacted, if u request again some information can be revealed and some can be hidden again (which is not ideal imo, so maybe make it so u can only press the request button once for every ship). either way, the fact that u can scan to see the ships that will be coming in before reviewing them looks very cool!

Yeah , I noticed those bugs too late on. But you know, time constraints . Still thanks a lot  for the honest review!

The game is nice. The art could be improved and some background music would add a lot.

The only issue i have is that, the game doesn't punish you for rejecting the correct ships.

You could add a grading system in the future.

It's a good start if you want to continue development

Thanks for playing tho and thanks for the advice

The game is ok and i did not encounter any bugs for the time i played. I see the concept and it could really be a good game with some more work. But considering the time constrains Its not bad.

It doesn't really push the limits of the theme but I do like the concept. The art and UI could use some polish but considering the time constraint it's very reasonable.
After a few ships I wondered what would happen if I just rejected every single one, and after a few minutes of doing so I finished the game. Then I tried to allow every ship in and lost a few seconds later, so there is a problem of a lack of incentive for correct decisions and punishment for rejecting innocent ships.
Overall a pretty good foundation with some areas to improve.

Even if you find it broken, I am so glad, that somebody at least took his time to view and play this broken creation.

Thank you so much for the rating and the comment.

I really enjoyed your game btw.
