Please does my game pixel art looks AI? I get allot saying that.
Please read the rules of Release Announcements where you should have made all these posts. The rules answer your question.
Doesn’t just look like it, it is. It’s not only ‘in the style’–certain approaches to AI-generated “pixel art” produce very prominent artifacts that cannot happen as a result of any normal pixel art workflow, even when the images are resized or compressed awkwardly.
Judging by the mod’s response I suspect you know this already, generated them yourself, and are just using this as a way to try and get more people to click the play button…but I like to assume the best intentions in people, and on the off chance you really did get these from elsewhere you can take this as confirmation by an experienced pixel artist that you got fooled.
Ok, well, I didn't generate anything myself, I don't even know much about art creation anyways. Just a programmer.
And I am going to update my discription and give credit to all the assets I use in the game, since you are a pro art creators as you said you are, then you can go through it and tell me if I generate it myself
I don't know, if you have been on itch.io for so long and on top of that and art artist, you must have come across this assets, I mean your account shows you have been on itch.io since 2014.
I am sorry if I sound rude, I am really just frustrated, like I ask player to play and give me feedback on bugs or what to improve, and they hit me with. Ai assets
Knowing really well I got the assets from a popular site like itch.io
Sadly, there are many people peddling ai assets nowadays and not all of them tell the truth. I don’t know if it’ll give you any solace but I’ll leave you with this: While I am experienced in art, I’m not a pro artist either–my pro background’s actually programming and the art’s just a thing I learned on the side. This is actually pretty common too, I know a lot of pixel artists who started out coding and many of them are better than I am.
Even if you’re not interested in getting to the point that you make all of your own art, learning enough to know how to tell AI and not-AI apart is a skill anyone can learn and if you ask around you may be able to find other, less tired artists would be willing to help on that front. Many artists like to teach other people things.
