How does the game fit the theme?
The player needs the blocks to win the game but the blocks can't be trusted. Some blocks will explode looking only a little different from regular blocks. This creates the tension that comes from not being able to trust something you rely on.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All of the audio was found free to use on Pixabay. All code and art was made by the team. No gen AI was used.

I like it - really unique mash up of ideas/genres and a creative take on the theme. Trying to place blocks *and* get around them *and* compensate for trick blocks all at once makes for a fun challenge. The jump is a *little* restrictive; since most blocks are 2 high, a 2 high block jump makes it very easy to get stuck.

Nice work!

I love the concept! I have to say that game is a bit challenging though and you can easily get stuck. Cat main character on plus <3

It’s definitely pretty challenging! I think adding a restart button would make it better, since I got stuck in unwinnable situations quite a few times.

Haha yeah we were aware of that but we ran out of time before we could come up with a good fix. The timer was our attempt to solve that problem but a restart button could also have been a good quick fix. Thanks for the feedback.

Loved this game! Not sure if it's the best match for the theme, but the idea alone deserves five stars!

Thanks for the honest feedback. We had grander ambitions about the trickiness of the blocks but just didn't end up having time for them.
