How does the game fit the theme?
There is a character who always lies to you. Many of the assertions made by the characters are not true, and you are meant to deduce that logically.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Aside from the engine, none.

How many people worked on the game?

the art is so lovely!! i like the premise and once you can remember all the characters it gets nice n rewarding to play!! it's maybe a little slow, i wish i could even just wiggle around or do something between obstacles, but the characterisation and logic is really solid!! wonderful lil game :]

Developer

Thanks so much for trying our game and your kind words! I'll have your suggestions in mind while improving this prototype!

Phenomenal Game with great replay value! Such a good entry for this scale, by braind doesent allways compute fast enough but i thought that added tension and challenge

Developer

Thank you for trying our game, we are glad you enjoyed it!

Really fun premise, and I love the art style! Could use the explanations of the controls in game though, because I thought I was controlling the character at first a button smashed through the first dialogue XD

Developer

Hey, thanks for playtasting our game! You are completely right, this game desperately needs a short tutorial haha. I was really short on time to deliver it before the deadline so i couldn't work on it.

Good concept. Some of the clues are misleading though, but still liked it

Developer

Really?? What misleading situation do you recall? I'd like to fix the clue generation engine in that case

There is a point where the game says ''You can't go right'' and that's all the clues it gives. However, this either leaves you with you with 3 possibilities to go where only 1 is correct and you have to lucky guess, or the other somewhat logical thing to go left, which kills you. I think it was only this clue situation which was weird, but since it basically  shows up at the beginning and i didnt pass it, I didn't really see more of the game after it

Oh, that would be because that came from the character who lies, the cat, meaning that the answer is to go right. This however is only explained in the description of the game, and not in an in-game tutorial, so i get it not being clear.

The visual style is charming! The puzzles, while simple, are fun to play and really got me thinking, haha

Perfectly matches the jam theme! But I still choose to trust the kitten, no matter what.

Thanks! This is our first game ever made, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
