Sorry for the issue. I've added a full screen mode for the game now and I'm glad you figured it out. It's nice to know you liked the game!

I have tried Fullscreen on two resolutions 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 and it is playable now without any weird tricks.
But on the Larger resolutions there is a additional gray Border but this didn’t negatively affect my Gameplay
