Game Jam Veterans: How Do You Get People to Notice Your Game?

Can anyone share how games actually make it to the top of a game jam?

I’m not saying my game is anything special, or that I’m being treated unfairly. I’m pretty realistic about the things I make and I’m not under any illusions. I’d just love to understand how to make a jam game more visible.

Every time, it honestly feels awful having to practically beg people to play and rate it. I’d really appreciate some advice from those of you who usually get plenty of ratings and feedback without having to push too hard for it, aside from making an amazing game, of course.

The gamedev community seems really nice. Everyone is so supportive and leaves such lovely comments for each other, so I’d be genuinely interested to hear about your experience and what worked for you.

Doing exactly what you are doing now. I think a large part of game development in general is networking with people who share your same passion! Checking your game out now! I would appreciate if you do the same for me :). Mine is https://weazel1.itch.io/lieght-the-way
