For those who find the game a little sluggish, enable double Turbo Mode from the options menu, this will give a comparable speed sense with respect to the original game. One caveat is 'Checkpoint' beeps will sped up too.
not only that, game runs at a faster tick which means clock runs faster too, I cant just make car go faster because slowness is pereived but not real, game normally runs at exactly the same speed as original. If i made car go faster but not timer, it would be against faithful reimplementation and would make game too easy
