Lol went to check out the purple planet thing, but it was a black hole. Then after resetting and continuing a bit longer, I fell through the floor. Had a lot of fun with the boost, and the theme was implemented by the Captain being super untrustworthy.
But I'm here from InstrumenTal's music post.
- The chiptune sound is very pleasant and nicely executed. I almost think a retrowave would have fit the game's aesthetic better, but it wasn't distracting
- The melodies were very happy sounding, and there was a lot of movement and variation, so I didn't detect a "loop". It really reminds me of more of a soundtrack but chiptune, or very similar to some GBA style music.
- The drums were a little quiet, and I think there could have been a little more variety in drum machine, but I'm not an expert on the 8-bit sound, so maybe the beat was at the level that you intended.
