Plays great... had a bit of a trouble finding compatible ADFs but all good now (weirdly it was complaining about Lotus III ADFs on startup, and after I sorted that, it played intro and complained about Lotus 1 ADF only after intro)..
Gameplay feels way too weird and too smooth at high fps (for somebody grinding this 35 years ago).. Therefore I have limited fps to 25 in nvidia drivers, disabled motion blur in the game and it immediately felt RIGHT !!
Gameplay feels exactly like it did on the Amiga. It’s naturally smooth, which is the whole idea, but the Lotus 2 speed cap feels spot on compared with the original Amiga version.
That’s why I enjoyed the NTSC 60fps version in WInUAE, since it adds that subtle extra challenge.
Still, your port nails it perfectly in this respect, just like the original. And the Turbo Mode is exactly what I was hoping for!
Easily the best game of the year!
