Hey, everyone. I hope you're all doing well? My name Toby Aki, a visual novel lover and I'm taking part in the Spooktober visual novel jam this year, and I'm looking for various artist which I'll explain more about. I'm taking on the writing and programming of the game using Renpy, you can check out my other game projects here
About the Project
The game is called Summer's harvest, it's an atmospheric horror Visual Novel that follows a detective as he visits a quaint town of Northsprings, the center of numerous supernatural occurrences, following the disappearance of his wife. It's going to explore love and asks the question of if you would still love someone after finding out everything about them. You can check out the GDD
So far all the details of the game have been laid out, including some concept art, music references and the plot outline. I can't go further than that because the main development needs to start in September according to the rules of the jam, but everything in the project has been planned out.
Roles I need help with
1. Background artists - There are 7 backgrounds in total so I'll probably need 2 background artists if one won't be able to draw them all in a month. Here's the link to the BG references
2. CG artist - They'll help handle the CGs in the game. There are 4 in total. This can also be handled by either the Character & creature artist or the BG artists. Here's the link to the CG references
Other notes
1. This isn't a paid project even though I would have loved to compensate you guys. This is a jam project so I would love and appreciate you volunteering your time to help me bring this project to life.
2. I have a judge pass (what qualifies the game for the ranked positions), so if you're looking to compete don't worry I've got you covered.
3. Apart from the art like bg, cg and characters, I'll also need help with drawing items like pictures, a locket, a key, and so on.
If you're interested in this project and want to help me in bringing it to life, you can dm me on discord @tobyaki25 I'll deeply appreciate it.
Thanks for reading ✨
