Was enjoying the game so far. I would like to know when the assets are in so I can get the full experience ✨

This was a good read. Totally was not expecting the twist in the end, lol. Was a great experience ✨

‎Hello again, my name is Toby Aki, and I'm looking for someone that can help me with casting, directing lines/voice directing, and audio engineering (for the lines).

Our team is made up of 7 people, and the script is done (it's about 2.5k words). There are 7 roles that'll be in the game; 3 Major roles and 4 minor roles. The minor roles have like just 5 lines of dialogue or less.

If you're interested please feel free to reach out to me @tobyaki25 on discord. Thanks.

Here they are

Hello, my name's Toby Aki, I'm a writer and Renpy programmer, and I'm looking for a CG artist for Summer's harvest. It's an atmospheric horror Visual Novel that follows a detective as he visits a quaint town of Northsprings, the center of numerous supernatural occurrences, following the disappearance of his wife.

‎I'm looking for a CG artist that'll help draw the CGs in the game. There are 3-4 CGs in total. We are a team of 6 people, hoping to be 7 when you join. Here's the link to the CG references and the rest of the GDD 👇

‎Hey, everyone. I hope you're all doing well? My name Toby Aki, a visual novel lover and I'm taking part in the Spooktober visual novel jam this year, and I'm looking for various artist which I'll explain more about. I'm taking on the writing and programming of the game using Renpy, you can check out my other game projects here

‎About the Project

‎The game is called Summer's harvest, it's an atmospheric horror Visual Novel that follows a detective as he visits a quaint town of Northsprings, the center of numerous supernatural occurrences, following the disappearance of his wife. It's going to explore love and asks the question of if you would still love someone after finding out everything about them. You can check out the GDD

‎So far all the details of the game have been laid out, including some concept art, music references and the plot outline. I can't go further than that because the main development needs to start in September according to the rules of the jam, but everything in the project has been planned out.

‎Roles I need help with

‎1. Background artists - There are 7 backgrounds in total so I'll probably need 2 background artists if one won't be able to draw them all in a month. Here's the link to the BG references

‎2. CG artist - They'll help handle the CGs in the game. There are 4 in total. This can also be handled by either the Character & creature artist or the BG artists. Here's the link to the CG references

‎Other notes

‎1. This isn't a paid project even though I would have loved to compensate you guys. This is a jam project so I would love and appreciate you volunteering your time to help me bring this project to life.

‎2. I have a judge pass (what qualifies the game for the ranked positions), so if you're looking to compete don't worry I've got you covered.

‎3. Apart from the art like bg, cg and characters, I'll also need help with drawing items like pictures, a locket, a key, and so on.

‎If you're interested in this project and want to help me in bringing it to life, you can dm me on discord @tobyaki25 I'll deeply appreciate it.

‎Thanks for reading ✨

‎

I don't think there's any problem with fan games

Yes, you definitely can.

You can go ahead and create it then

‎Hello, my name's Toby Aki, I'm a writer and Renpy programmer, and I'm looking for team members that'll join me in the creation of a game for the Spooktober jam.

‎

‎CONCEPT

‎

‎The project I'm working on is called Summer's harvest, a horror Visual Novel.

‎You play as a detective whose world falls apart following the disappearance of his wife. His life has spiralled deeper into chaos, with his career even being threatened if he doesn't get himself together. The trajectory of his life changes when he gets a letter from his missing wife, leading him to the quiet and isolated town of Northsprings, a town associated with strange activities, from human sacrifice to its connection to the otherworld. Still determined, he sets out on his journey to find her.

‎

‎ABOUT ME

‎

‎I plan on handling the writing and programming for the game using Renpy. I've created numerous visual novels in the past and have also worked in teams. You can check out my itch below👇

‎

‎

‎OPEN ROLES

‎

‎1. Character/Creature & CG artist - The Character/Creature & CG artist will help create the sprites for the characters and creatures and CGs that'll be in the game.

‎

‎2. Background artist - The Background artist will help create the Environment for the game. Creating CG art would also be a plus or creating the environment in such a way that it blends with the sprite to create a CG.

‎

‎3. UI artist - The UI artist will help create the UI assets for implementation in the Renpy game. Doesn't need to know GUI programming but it would be a plus.

‎

‎If you're interested in the game and want to join me in bringing this to life, feel free to DM me on Discord @tobyaki25

Hey there, my name's Toby, and I'm looking to join a team for the upcoming Otome jam as a programmer. I use the Renpy engine, I have 2 years experience and I'm open to learning new things, plus I'm into writing and narrative stuff in case you need my support with that.

I'm looking for an idea that's interesting and captivating, something that immediately hooks me when I listen to it. You can also check out my past work and collaborations here to see if they're to your liking.

If you're interested in having me in your team, feel free to reach out to me on discord @tobyaki25 with your pitch/concept. I'm looking forward to joining you.

Hey there! My name's Toby. I love playing Visual Novels, watching anime and films, especially horror. I've developed a few hobby Visual Novels and I'm looking to offer my programming skills and writing if needed. Although I'm not a professional I'm still willing and eager to learn new things. Any genre is fine for me (as long as it's sfw).

Here's a link to the games I've made👇

Hey. Are you still open to team up? I've sent you a request on discord.

This is a great game. Loved the story, and especially loved the music!

What a beautiful game.

Yeah, I watched it. I apologize for the experience 😅. Unfortunately that was the best I could do given the circumstances. But I'm expanding on it and making it longer to make up for it.

I loved this game. Had a high production value and the characters are great!

Very high quality for a jam entry. Well done.

A great experience. I enjoyed playing this game.

One of the best games I've played in this jam. Hats off to the creators.

A beautiful game. I loved every bit of it.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it.

I'll try them out. LOVED Death has been murdered.

Thanks. I'll play it.

One of the best entries I've played so far. Thanks for the recommendation.

I don't like this Visual Novel, ‎I LOVE IT! The story was amazing. Loved the art and soundtrack. Controls were not what I was normally used to though but it doesn't matter at all. I love the scene direction, morality stats and the way the choices are handled. The exploration mechanic is fun. Effects are great.

I'm glad you recommended this gem to me. Thanks a lot.

‎

Don't worry. I will.

I'll try them out!

I'll play it. Thanks

Also saw that one. Loved the artsyle. I'll play them both. Thanks.

Good game. Loved the voice acting and mini game. Story was compelling. Loved the characters (except Alex and the vlogger). Loved how the choices were presented. Noticed some minor bugs and typos but overall the game's great!

‎First off, loved the voice acting (especially Igor's). I love Igor and despise Alex. The mini games were fun, and I liked the writing.

I did notice something though, when checking the receipt for the vlogger I didn't see any receipt and I ended up failing it. Though it wasn't immersion breaking.

Overall I loved it and was engaged with the plot.

Thanks. I'll definitely play it and give my feedback.

Thanks. I'll definitely try it out.

Hey, so I'm looking to play some of the entries, and rate them, also commenting my thoughts on them, but they're just so many I don't know which ones to start with, and I don't think I can play all of them. I would appreciate some recommendations (it could be yours or someone else's). I just want to have ones I can play without the anxiety I get from having to choose from hundreds.

Good game. Character designs are fantastic.

Loved the character designs and exploration. Was fun to play. The writing was also well done.

Would have loved to see more though🥺
