Ranked from 7 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
in the end, it is revealed the protagonist is being "posessed" by K-39 and is killed, fitting as "trust nobody, not even yourself". also, some other characters that were presented are shown to be bacteria mimics, merging into A-01 at the end, so they betrayed you, not being trustworthy.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
some of the sound effects, and the eye sprite. i made the rest myself.

How many people worked on the game?

did not expect something so lore heavy in a game jam, its a welcome surprise!

the visuals are great, they're coherent, and alot of the sprites describe great form and depth, especially that teeth monster, great job!  tons of personality throughout the animations, sound, and atmosphere.  impressive you did this while sick, i woulda gave up,,,

a fun but not so useful speedrun tech i found on my multiple replays:  you can hold right in the sacrifice cutscene to launch the camera, allowing you to click on the far door

anyway, extremely enjoyable and impressive experience :)

lmaoo yes the camera fling tech, it's something about the lil camera bob i added when you move your mouse. i did find out about that one but i was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too sick to fix it, im actually still sick with the same sickness to this day :sob: though its actually going away right now im so happy i can stop coughing everywhere

ty for the feedback dude! its nice seeing someone who made a game with such amazing art compliment my (mediocre) art skills, you don't know how much that means to me!!11! and yes it is very lore heavy, but now in the post jam i think that was not a good decision if my intent was to get a high score, people'd rather play something fun and light than something not so much fun and lore heavy, ill keep that in mind for my next jams ( though i also feel itch didnt recommend my game to people cause i wasn't playing other submissions cause i was sick :soooooob:

if you liked the game so much as to replay it multiple times(you can't possibly imagine the grin on my face right now) be sure to be on alert cause im updating this! i'm going back to the original idea of a survival game while trying to keep the campaign lore

This is was actually way better than what i thought , i hope u would expand this to an actual game with a solid art style !

Developer

tysm!! yeah the artstyle is very limited lmao, im mostly a programmer/musicist so the art didnt wind up that well, but im still content with how the rest of the game turned out!

The amount of detail and lore you were able to do in a week is insane! Really impressive work. I did notice some lagging when certain animations were going, like the floor monster eating something, But that could just be because it was the website one. Keep up the good work!

Developer

tysm!! yeah, i really put in some work on the lore, though i feel like the rest of the game came out a bit unpolished because of that. anyways, im coming back to it in the future so expect more content!!! sorry for the lags, it didnt happen on my machine but ill look into it

This was fun! I specifically enjoyed all of the effects you put into the UI/text. And I really did feel betrayed at the end!

Developer(+1)

tysm!! i think the ending was a bit unpolished, but ill do better for the full version of the game!

Really nice game, the sprites and animations are great. Nice to see that the jam made you revisit an idea you had but never made.

Developer
