no worries, and thank you for apologizing! ^^ just to clear up one thing: Blastic’s Patreon and social media already existed before we started working on Broken Colors, and she has always posted a lot of character art there. that’s primarily what most of her followers are there for, so those accounts were never meant to be dedicated development blogs for the game.

development has definitely taken much longer than we originally expected, mainly because the project grew quite a bit beyond what we had initially planned. my job situation also changed shortly after the demo was released, and nowadays I have to work so many hours that I’m rarely even at home—I barely get to see my own mother anymore. naturally, that leaves me with much less free time to work on the game than I had when we first started.

we’ve always tried to be transparent about that whenever people asked about development, though. the game is still being worked on; it’s simply progressing more slowly because real life has changed quite a lot for us since we began. and if we ever reached a point where we genuinely no longer wanted to continue the project, we would say so rather than quietly leave everyone guessing ^^

I understand, I was speaking out of ignorance. I truly hope your situation improves, and I wish you and the entire development team the best. It is an independent project with immense potential :3, I see now that the kind of comment I made is the sort that causes a hard time and ends up overwhelming creators. My sincerest apologies again, and good luck. 🦐✨
