Tell your weirdest game ideas and mechanics you thought of even if you are not a dev! somebody can get inspiration from it and create cool games! we can also guide and modify the ideas to lean it to something more professional and useful!
If you're serious about this—I once dreamed of a first-person 3D game where you build tower defenses inside a massive industrial building to hold back waves of enemies (there are probably similar games out there, but none of the ones I've played were very good). Also, I'm currently playing a game about becoming an indie developer—it's basically about how you release your game on Itch.io, get very little traffic, can't register for Reddit, and can't participate in many game jams because you use AI art, so you end up just hanging around in various communities. The game itself isn't particularly fun, but I feel like I'll keep playing it for a while longer anyway.
When I was a kid I imagined about a racing game where you can choose from a wide range of vehicles and create 'unbalanced' races. For example, a TC racing car vs a Truck, a Formula 1 vs a plane and so on.
Another idea, but not so much about mechanic is for a game concept I call 'Eternal'. Inspired in the premise of Remedy's 'Quantum Break' (but the game doesn't develop in the same universe nor it's a fanfiction). Thing goes more or less like this: Humanity invents time-travelling using something similar to the 'Chrono particle'. So many humans are sent to change historical events (like helping civilizations that where destroyed, kill dictators, etc.) But eventually times start to glitch and break due all the changes. In the end, only 3 persons (2 scientists and the player) remain 'safe' inside a special bunker but they need to fix everything. The scientists idea is to travel back in time to prevent the original time travel. The MC think about not doing that (because it will cause a heavy time loop) but to travel back to every single change made and turn it back. The game would be mostly about going to different places and time periods, figure out not just what was changed but also how things where/should be originally and prevent/fix those changes. (This won't cause a time loop as well? well, yeah probably. This is a vague idea, didn't though it too much.)
The first idea can be really fun honestly but it could become repetitive fast however the second idea is crazy cool and unique, the going back in time concept cool, only there will be 1 issue that making it would be kinda too difficult cause there could be 100 possibilities but we make it simple like those novel games where you had to make 1 choice or another idea: you had to go back in time and find and kill the correct enemy, if you fail 3 times you die yourself the universe is ruined☠️☠️
its not that complex really like yeah it could become boring but I think what the game needs is more like a "virus concentration" giver like if the concentration is too high you die, you must find the vaccine and save the world and also the concentration can keep rising increasing pressure on the player
