This is really cute. I saw on your page that your inspiration was “Mario Party (A game I love and hate <3)”. I am SOOOOO with you on that!

This is interesting and clever! It has me pondering different interactions that could make it a bit more Mario Partyesque… I have a question about this section here:

“If the card you draw is the suit you choose for
your recipe: you will get the ingredient
needed, so you need to mark it somehow
where you wrote it.
If it’s not the suit you choose for your recipe:
you will Sell it (gain +1 point of currency), and
leave the card where you are (but you will
need to put it behind the other cards that are
still there, if it applies). You will need 3 points
of currency to Buy 1 ingredient of choice.”

It is noted in the sell it bullet point that you put the card back. Do you keep the card if it is your ingredient, or does that get put back too? If the card is kept, this could be a potential point where you could add a sabotage mode.

If the reveal of a card is kept secret from the other player than keeping an ingredient that is your opponents wouldn’t gain you an ingredient or a coin, but would sabotage their progress finding their ingredients. So come win/lose time this could be a press-your-luck kind of consequence. If you got all your ingredients first but tally up all your (and their) “sabotage” (cards you secretly kept that were not yours) cards and they have less than you, then you’re caught as the sabotour and get disqualified from the competition.

Of course, you may already have ideas of your own. Just sharing the thoughts that came to me during my read through. Well done on your entry, and for making lovely art for it too.
