KeyTranslate — a Windows tool for translating and refining text

Hi! I’ve just released KeyTranslate, a Windows 10/11 tool for translating or improving selected text directly in the app where you’re writing.

Use global hotkeys to translate and replace text, view a translation without changing the original, improve wording, or fix grammar. It works in a browser, chat client, editor, or other focused text field.

It supports OpenRouter, DeepL, and Google Cloud with your own provider credentials. Keys stay in Windows Credential Manager; there’s no built-in account or telemetry, and KeyTranslate never presses Send, Post, Comment, or Enter for you.

It’s free / name-your-own-price and still early, so practical feedback is welcome.

19 September update: I added a support banner to KeyTranslate. It links to the shared goal of raising $60 to help bring my Android apps to Google Play, with $10 raised so far. If KeyTranslate has been useful to you, even $1 helps.
