Hello, Commanders!
The last ten days have been busy for **ORBIS VICTOR – Planet Conquest**. Much of this work focused on making existing systems smarter, clearer, more reliable, and more enjoyable.
A Smarter AI Commander
The AI received one of its biggest improvements yet.
Instead of evaluating isolated fleet movements, it can now simulate complete turns and compare different plans. It understands ideas such as combining fleets for a stronger attack, waiting for reinforcements, and avoiding wasteful attacks against heavily defended planets.
Testing also produced a clearer difficulty ladder:
- Easy: approachable for newer commanders
- Medium: a meaningful strategic challenge
- Hard: aggressive and genuinely dangerous
The days of the AI repeatedly throwing tiny fleets into an unwinnable battle should be greatly reduced!
Championship Improvements
Championship matches now start with a properly cleaned battlefield.
Previously, fleets, news messages, spy reports, and HUD information could survive between fights when continuing a Championship climb. Each new opponent now receives a fresh match state.
Championship progress is also saved on your current device. You can win several fights, leave the game, and continue the climb later from the same browser.
Hall of Fame and Versus Progress
The Hall of Fame received important integrity fixes to remove phantom conquest victories and improve result handling.
Named guest commanders can now also appear in the Versus Hall of Fame through:
- Weekly Cup scores
- Completed Championship climbs
- Championship crowns
Registered players continue to use their account names, while generic names such as “Guest” and “Player” are kept off the rankings.
New Official Scenarios
Five additional missions joined the official scenario collection:
- **First Command** – an approachable introduction to independent command
- **Ember Line** – an economic race across abandoned foundry worlds
- **Iron Corridor** – a difficult battle over fortified strategic gates
- **Sunspear Vault** – build the strength needed to capture a deadly superweapon
- **Last Bastion** – survive a brutal war fought across two fronts
Together, they provide a smoother journey from learning the basics to facing demanding tactical situations.
Commander Progress and Rewards
The Commander Dashboard brings achievements, honors, scenario medals, Championship progress, Weekly Cup results, and Universe standing together in one place.
New cosmetic rewards—including commander badges and a victory banner—provide additional milestones to pursue without affecting combat balance.
Multiplayer Reliability
Tactical multiplayer received several important improvements:
- Better synchronization of production, technology, and upgrades
- A working reconnection window
- Multiple same-turn fleet arrivals combine correctly
- Additional server and deployment hardening
These changes are intended to make online battles more consistent and dependable.
Faster and More Entertaining Battle News
The battle ticker now includes more humorous headlines and avoids repeating the same messages too frequently.
Its network loading was also moved away from the critical game-start path. A match no longer needs to wait for news data before displaying the battlefield and galaxy background.
Menu and Interface Polish
The main menu received keyboard, screen-reader, reduced-motion, and touch-target improvements without changing its visual layout.
We also clarified several mode names and descriptions so players can more easily understand where each button leads.
Victory Sharing
Victory cards and sharing options now make it easier to:
- Share a result image
- Boast about a victory
- Challenge a friend
- Send someone directly into a matching battle setup
Sharing is available across several major game modes.
What Comes Next?
The next development stretch will continue concentrating on:
- Fixing reported bugs and edge cases
- Improving visual presentation and feedback
- Refining onboarding for new commanders
- Implementing useful player suggestions
- Expanding and polishing existing game modes
- Exploring carefully selected future concepts
Thank you to everyone who has played, tested, reported problems, or shared an idea. Your feedback continues to shape the game.
