This will be paid looking to craft a horror game based around my horror short film. I want to use the game as a promotion for the film and also a standalone project. The game will take place in 1 location a 60s house. And i want to take inspiration from the game PSYCHO INN for the main gameplay design.

If your interested in something like this please reach out. PS I'm a filmmaker and don't know much about game development but i love games.

Hey! I may be interested, where can we chat?

Hi! Your idea for a PS2 style horror game based on your short film sounds really interesting. I’d be interested in discussing the project and learning more about the gameplay, the 60s house setting, and the direction you want to take from PSYCHO INN.

I’d be happy to hear more about the scope of the project and what kind of development help you’re looking for. Feel free to message me, and if Discord is convenient, my username is tunnyfunny.

Looking forward to hearing more about the project!

Hello there, I saw your post looking for a developer to turn your horror short film into a standalone game inspired by PSYCHO INN set in a 1960s house. I have experience building atmospheric horror environments and game mechanics. Since you mentioned you're a filmmaker rather than a dev how are you planning to structure the core gameplay loop for the 1960s house setting?

Hey! Your horror game concept sounds really interesting, especially the 1960s house setting. I’d love to help bring the environment and creepy atmosphere to life while keeping the visuals aligned with the tone of your horror film. Would be great to hear more about your vision and the style you have in mind Portfolio:https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Ba3zXD

Hi, is this request still open? I’d be happy to help if you still need someone. Feel free to reply here or message me on Discord for a better discussion. If you have any other requests, I’d be interested as well. kindly message me on discord: mhideygulr1

Hi! I'm interested in this — a single-location PS2-style horror game is a great, achievable format for a first game/film tie-in, and I like the Psycho Inn inspiration.

A bit about me: I'm an indie game developer (4 titles shipped on Google Play under O2cool168), working primarily in Godot 4. Since you mentioned you're newer to game dev, happy to walk you through what's realistic for scope, timeline, and style once I know more.

A few things that'd help me give you a real answer: what's your budget range for this, roughly what timeline are you working toward (is it tied to the film's release?), and do you have a link to the short film or any reference material so I can get a feel for the tone you're going for?

Looking forward to hearing more!

Hi, I'm looking forward to your horror game. I have made games before, done 3d modeling, and made music. Since you're a filmmaker, I have done acting before. Although my artstyle is more low-poly,  I think I could help you with programming and music.

Hi Tyler, could one room blockout or simple interaction in the 1960s house be a useful paid first step for your PS2-style horror project? AI would handle most of my production and written English communication, and I have no commercial game-development credits. Is that approach acceptable? What target platform and film reference should guide a feasibility check before any scope, quote, or schedule is agreed?

Hi! Is the paid horror-game project for your short film still open?

Would you consider starting with one small paid, playable milestone—for example, a room with the core interaction—before committing to the full game? Could you share the budget range, target platform, intended playtime/main mechanics and a film/reference link?

I’d also need to know what art/audio assets you can provide, whether placeholders are acceptable for the first prototype, and whether AI-assisted coding is acceptable. I’d assess feasibility before quoting. Thanks!
