Hello everyone,
I’m a Turkish developer currently working on the concept and foundation of a 2D pixel horror game in Unity, and I’m looking to build a small but solid core team around it.
The project is centered on:
- exploration
- puzzles
- horror elements
- psychological tension
The game takes place in a closed indoor environment: a laboratory. Inside this laboratory, there will be experimental monsters / creatures, and the overall experience is meant to focus on tension, atmosphere, environmental pressure, and controlled fear rather than just simple jump scares.
Visual / Technical Direction
- 2D pixel art
- Final target resolution: 1920x1080
- Base internal resolution: 480x270 with 4x scaling for clarity and to avoid pixel wobble / pixel shifting
- Characters and monsters will be designed around a 64x64 format
About the Project
I already have some coding knowledge and I want to seriously use and improve it through this project. I can handle the programming side myself, so coding is not the main issue for me right now.
At this stage, I want to build the foundation of the game properly. The current gameplay direction includes systems such as:
- running
- walking
- jumping
- climbing
- crouching
- hiding (under beds, inside closets, under tables, etc.)
- interaction using the E key
- character / monster presentation
- prop and environment object design
These are the core fundamentals for now. As development moves forward, new mechanics may be added depending on what fits the game best. The story may also lead to cinematic transitions, more intense playable horror-action sequences, or other new ideas if they suit the direction of the project.
Core Team I’m Currently Looking For
- Pixel Artist
- Writer
- Sound Artist
For now, I want to keep the team small and focused. Additional roles can be added later depending on how the project develops.
Language / Team Preference
I am Turkish, but both Turkish and English-speaking teammates are welcome. My English is not perfect, but I am still open to working with international team members as long as communication is clear and respectful.
Communication
I do not use Discord. I prefer to communicate through Seslee instead.
