Yeah! My idea is that the music just keeps hanging there without ever settling.
We kinda have a fade. The music waits until the current musical phrase finishes before switching moods, the old notes naturally ring out while the new ones start.
All that said, I've got it working as a tool that reflect the concept. It doesn't sound great yet but I'll clean it up later.
