I've been playing all afternoon without any issue so I'll see what I can do my end and let you know when something has been hotfixed for you

Issue appears to be on the Itch side.
Try Chrome in a guest or incognito window with extensions disabled. If it runs there, it was the extension or a stale itch session token, and clearing itch.io / itch.zone site data fixes it permanently.
