Funny characters and while I haven't played the first game the intro does a good job (i think) of letting me know who's who and what the plot is. Great submission!
Visual art look really cool I didnt play it yet but ill try in 8 hours.
I recorded my thoughts live while I played in the doc below!

This is definitely my kinda game. The art style is completely my vibe, itās got that punky vibe thatās almost a cross between TWEWY and Scott Pilgrim, which now that I say that out loud definitely explains why the aesthetic appealed to me so much. Itās definitely a short title and there is SOME depth, but the way Rock Paper and Scissors overpower each other (in a way that is appropriate for the theme) definitely makes some encounters feel entirely matchup dependent. The real strategy shines in the last couple fights, where I had to really pull all the stops and strategize heavily in order to overcome the odds. I do think the humour is a little… more miss than hit, itās mostly meme humour, and while the Charlie stuff will probably be appreciated for as long as that guy is around, Scissors OāToole is gonna be stale in, like, three days at this point. Nevertheless, aside from Scissors OāToole which got a thorough eyeroll from me, none of the humour annoyed me or anything like that, so itās all acceptable. It would have been nice to get a little more customization out of the system, obviously thereās a good deal of building involved with your two party members and which skill the protagonist has, but I feel like this system has a lot of potential for customization that isnāt fully explored by the limitations of the gameplay as it is right now. In any case, this was definitely one of my favourite entries in this round of Feedback Quest. I donāt have many big nitpicks, this is basically just a fully fleshed out title, but I could see it being a backdoor prototype for a bigger project in which case I think it mostly works, but the combat is gonna need a little more meat on it for a game lasting more than a couple hours. In terms of the story, there isnāt much going on there, but thatās acceptable for something of this size. It can be difficult to write a compelling story, so something ridiculous like āa child runs society via Rock Paper Scissorsā is fine enough for what it is. In any case, very fun title, Iām glad I played it!
A role-playing game for the thinking person...or a person who is pressed for time and can't play all those epic 70+ hour RPS simulators with spells and stuff of that nature.
I believe that you could make a(n) (J)RPG lover with a game like this -- the controls are simple, the gameplay is easy to understand (unless you somehow haven't played rock-paper-scissors in your life, in which case, hi, welcome to Earth), and the music (shout out to Cam/UberPasta) is super catchy and energetic! I will definitely recommend this game to my friends! Thanks for the fun time (I will definitely try to beat it a second time, just to experience it again)!
I tried playing the game from Safari on Macbook but it didn't load. Is there some kind of bug? š¬
Did you get to the title screen and get a black screen when you pressed "Start" or did it not load the whole game?
Noting an update we released tonight-
Update 1.1 | Minor Bug Fixes
1. Fixed an issue where special attacks in certain UI Slots (1, 2, & 3) did not display their RPS affinity types.
2. Fixed Scissor O'Toole's Ability description to properly reflect how the special ability effects allies in range, and not the user.
