Description
In Trifolia you follow our protagonist as they explore the painted world of Trifolia. After discovering a hidden canvas in the attic of our protagonist's late grandmother, they are transported inside. We follow them as they explore the world their grandmother left behind.
(all info on project page)
I tried making a classic emotional theme with a big string ensemble for the 'main' theme, a silly track that could be played during a silly cutscene :) and a more serious one representing a faction within the world (the painted tribes).

This soundtrack is so nice!!
I love how you used the instruments and overall how you composed the tracks :D
I wish you luck in the jam, and a great rest of your week!
Good compositions, solid orchestration. My favorite track is The Painted Tribes. The mix could use a touch more reverb, but otherwise it all sounds good.
Amazing work!
This soundtrack gave me heavy vibes of Violet Evergardens soundtrack by Evan Call, it would fit right in.
A very light and whimsical soundtrack with good instrument selection and arrangement, they all fit the ideas you're trying to convey. The composition and story telling were great, it really captured the emotional journey of the setting, I could see myself stepping into the painting and going on an adventure. I'm going harp on about some technical aspects of the mix now, please bear with me, its longer than my compliments only because I'm digging into the details, overall I really enjoyed the listening experience. The library you've chosen sounds a little dry when only a few instruments are playing, adding more reverb and subtle saturation should give it a nice boost. Another thing I'd try to do add extra instruments to the parts where the song sounds sparse, you can just let them play a simple accompanying part at quite a low volume, it sacrifices some contrast but it fills up the gaps in the frequency spectrum.
The cymbal crash at 0:28 in The Painted World of Trifolia is a little short and it doesn't sound very glued together (could be a compressor overreacting but it also can just be using the wrong crash sample), the reverb and saturation I suggested earlier would help, but you can add a little extra reverb to the cymbals directly if you need it to last longer. Applying some subtractive EQ to carve out from space from the tonal instruments during this impact can also glue the mix and give the drums and cymbals more weight while reducing the chance that the compressor/limiter overreacts.
i really love your composition!!!! you use each instrument very thoughtfully - you're not selecting random instruments and building melody lines off of them, but you take blending and timbre into account and it's very evident!!! i'm also biased as a percussion player who LOVES your use of mallet instruments here. well done!!!!
Really cute submission, I love the light orchestra feeling in the composition ! If you have the money (and you want too) I'd say maybe go for more "Chamber Music / Light Orchestra" sounds, some of your samples and VST are made for heavy cinematic music and it show sometimes. Otherwise, the composition is well done and convey the feelings, it's well mixed, and I think I see the story and emotions you where going for.
