Description
So yeah. Layna’s doing a rhythm game soundtrack for OST Composing Jam, where have I heard this before…
Each of these songs represents a song in a rhythm game "story pack."
-XX "Judgement" in particular would be the pack's "boss song."
Message from the artist
I really let the hypothetical rhythm game charter bloodlust show through on this one, so... be ready for a set of intense tracks.

Hey, I remember rating and giving feedback on Lavender Sky last year. I love your music, and it’s good to see you back here again!
X - Wheel of Time - Cool switching between major and minor, and you reference a Mixolydian sound at around 0:22 which I thought was fitting for the jam’s picture theme. Fantastic sound design all around, and I especially like the addition of vocals towards the end.
I - The Magician Who Makes Worlds - I like how you transformed the leitmotif from the first track here. The harpsichord and organ sound great in this context and gives a feeling of dark magic. I like how you mixed electronic and classical on the entire soundtrack—it really helps your style fit into the jam’s theme. I would say it even fits the picture theme even though you didn’t include it, because the soundtrack could still fit into a game where you are fighting angels.
-XX - Judgement - At 0:42, nice halftime feel, and the sound design on that synth is awesome. At 1:23, wow this section is brain melting and my favorite part of the soundtrack! The break at 2:00 with strings adds a lot of depth and character to the track. The chopped up breakbeat at 2:50 is well executed too, there is a sense of sadness or desperation which adds to the story. Overall, you do a great job of developing each track.
Amazing work on this!
The sound is so good that you forget it’s a rhythm game. And that’s excellent.
Super cool! All three tracks are really exciting (I especially love the transition around 0:33 in "Wheel of Time"). I think they really sell the idea of an adventure full of turmoil.
I'm not very good with the more electronic sounds myself, so it's really fun to see here how intense and impactful they can make the music sound.
