iv been working at this for 8 HOURS and still nothing iv tried everything bro iv changed so many things and downloaded dif stuff js to try and fix it and it still wont let me use my stuff i js want what i paid for it picks up my sound i can hear the game and everything but as soo as i click hear myself there no sound please if anyone knows anything help like iv even uninstalled the game and reinstalled i

When i got the game my mic worked then one time my computer crashed then my mic stopped working

Im using remote windows through my mac, and mic is not working at all in the game, output is just fine on the other hand. the input works perfectly on the other apps btw

Hi! I bought The Choicer Voicer on itch.io and I'm having the microphone playback issue.

My microphone is detected by the game and Live Microphone works. When I record, the game creates a recording file, and I can hear my voice perfectly when I open that file outside the game. However, Hear Recording is completely silent inside the game.

I've tested both my Headset Microphone (Realtek(R) Audio) and my built-in Microphone Array (Realtek(R) Audio), and both have the same issue.

I've also tested 0.5.2 and 0.5.3, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, disabled audio enhancements, disabled exclusive mode, and tried different output devices. None fixed the in-game playback.

I saw that the 0.5.2-dev2 mic test build was made specifically for this bug. The dev2 Windows file appears on the developer's page, but it is not available in my purchase downloads, even after linking my purchase to an itch.io account.

Could you please give my account access to the 0.5.2-dev2 Windows test build, or let me know if there's another workaround?

Thanks!

Developer

0.5.2-dev2 was an earlier version of 0.5.2. The fix introduced in 0.5.2-dev2 that fixed it for some people is present in 0.5.2 and 0.5.3. It's no longer available because it was a temporary build and has served its purpose.

When you say "Hear Recording is completely silent inside the game", I assume you mean in the mic test page? Is playback of your recordings silent in every game mode? Weirdly, most people that don't hear any playback of their recordings also cannot hear the saved recording, but it sounds like your recording works but doesn't play.

Yes, I tested it in Dub Mode as well. I made a new recording there and playback is also completely silent inside the game.

So playback is silent in both the Mic Test & Crust page and Dub Mode. However, the recording files themselves definitely contain audio — I can open the saved recording outside the game and hear my voice normally.

Live Microphone also works normally.

So it seems like the recordings are being created correctly, but Choicer Voicer isn't playing them back correctly in-game.

i am having the same exact thing happen to me its very odd it feels like iv tried everything too and still no luck i think i prolly has something to do with my headset and the software that voicer choicer uses. I'm using  steelseries arctis nova pros and iv tried other headsets  still no luck witch is super weird cuz it worked for me before and randomly stopped. iv also used other peoples app on there device and they all used wired  head sets so that might just be the case but then again i rlly don't know.

Does anyone know how to stop my mic from spiking when recording? I've checked my mic with other apps, and they are all fine. Below is a snippet of one of my dubs:

Early Access Version 0.5.1 - Compatibility Mode

I have been playing on Version 0.5.4, and I still kind of suffer from my microphone introducing its own crust in my mic. I've only now known that it could be related to a surround-sound audio output system, because my main output device is the Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System. My main input device is an older Blue Yeti microphone, bought about eight or so years ago (and yet it still works well enough). So if I were to hazard my next guess at what I need to do to troubleshoot my problems, would it be unplugging my speakers and playing through my headphones instead?

my audio was working just fine when i bought the game. Then some of my dub recordings just.. vanished out of nowhere, and now my mic just stopped playback entirely.  Also, how do i download the 5.2 dev2 build? i cant access it.

I used this video (

) And it worked really well use the Auto Dub feature on youtube to understand what he is saying BTW i use  Corsair HS80 If anyone is having problem with that one

I use a RODE Podmic and on multiple occasions I'll get audio dropoff randomly, especially if I'm trying to yell or raise my voice. I'm not sure if anyone has in-game settings recommendations or Windows settings, but anything is appreciated. Thanks!

Has anyone figured out mic delay? I've tried various mic options, through an interface. A different USB mic directly in my PC. But it picks up my voice so late. Anyone deal with this too?

Has anyone dealt with any mic delay? I've been dealing with my delay and it picking up my voice way later than when I'm talking. I've tried multiple different mic options. With my focusrite and bringing down the latency as much as possible. And then just like a USB mic plugged directly into my PC. I really have no idea how to fix the delay. It's really hard to time it to the voice.

Crashes every time I click settings

when im loud for some audios it suppresses my mic and i checked all the windows stuff and enhancements which i dont have but i think the game has a ingame noise suppressor that doesnt work with my mic

I'm just wondering if 3.5mm jack mics work or if I'm doing something wrong? Also if headset mics work I wondered.

It's not that I don't have other mics, I just thought I'd try these and I couldn't get any result from them so thought I'd ask

My mic worked, but after launching the game it basically had deepfried my microphone, made it quiet and choppy and i couldnt fix it until i basically hard reset it.

Wait do you also have the problem of your mic start having static?

Does anyone know why my microphone starts to static every time I dub around 3 clips? Basically whenever I am dubbing a clip, I always have to reset my mic in order for it not to static my audio recording. Does anyone have a solution? I am using the Fifine Microphone

my dubs dont work anymore i record something theres no audio from my mic even tho i spoke it's just nothing during the whole thing

I have a big problem of delay in my mic. Is for like 3 or 2 second, and I need to start dubbing before pressing the "Record" button. Is there any way to fix this issue?

I've tried the game on 2 computers and both times the mic works fine until you touch the mic settings and then it stops no matter what option you click.

when i voice something around 2 to 3 times on me low end laptop with a builtin mic it delays
