Yes, I tested it in Dub Mode as well. I made a new recording there and playback is also completely silent inside the game.

So playback is silent in both the Mic Test & Crust page and Dub Mode. However, the recording files themselves definitely contain audio — I can open the saved recording outside the game and hear my voice normally.

Live Microphone also works normally.

So it seems like the recordings are being created correctly, but Choicer Voicer isn't playing them back correctly in-game.

Hi! I bought The Choicer Voicer on itch.io and I'm having the microphone playback issue.

My microphone is detected by the game and Live Microphone works. When I record, the game creates a recording file, and I can hear my voice perfectly when I open that file outside the game. However, Hear Recording is completely silent inside the game.

I've tested both my Headset Microphone (Realtek(R) Audio) and my built-in Microphone Array (Realtek(R) Audio), and both have the same issue.

I've also tested 0.5.2 and 0.5.3, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, disabled audio enhancements, disabled exclusive mode, and tried different output devices. None fixed the in-game playback.

I saw that the 0.5.2-dev2 mic test build was made specifically for this bug. The dev2 Windows file appears on the developer's page, but it is not available in my purchase downloads, even after linking my purchase to an itch.io account.

Could you please give my account access to the 0.5.2-dev2 Windows test build, or let me know if there's another workaround?

Thanks!
