Description
I imagine this music to be for a adventure-puzzle game set in a world a long time after a great disaster. Nature has started to reclaim its territory but scrap from the old world lingers around the earth. You play as a descendant of the few survivors from before the calamity. Your family is a linage of musicians and so many melodies from the old world have been passed down to you for safe keeping along with an ancient instrument - a violin. Now you are tasked by your elders to wander the old ruins in search of various musical artifacts and the memories tied to them.

"Lingering Memories" is the theme for the main menu.

"Cathedral Ruins" is an area theme for exploring the ruins of a cathedral in search of a still working music box.

All music was made in Logic Pro.

Message from the artist
The main idea for the game is that each area is tied to a specific instrument that the main character is looking for, and since they themselves are wielding a violin each track becomes a combination of violin and the other instrument in question. Due to time I only managed to make one area theme for the ruins of a cathedral where you can find a music box, but i hope my idea comes across. I chose violin as the centerpoint mainly because of its strong ties to folk music. Since the game centers around reclaiming old melodies i felt like that was thematically fitting. The main menu theme (lingering memories) is therefore also heavily influenced by folk as a genre. Hope you enjoy :).

How does it fit the theme?
The game centers around reclaming melodies and musical artifacts that remain after a great disaster. The wold before the disaster would then be the "forgotten world". I also tried to include folk influences in the music to sort of tie the music also to our "forgotten world" - the medieval times and such.
