Is it unrealistic? Idk if its still a thing but irl kids used to be able to stay with mothers in their college dorms, in certain places, my mother raised my sister and brother while going through college this way.
Thats true, i think having them be able to stay in the town would fit more. I wasnt really thinking about implementation, just saying that people do raise children through college that way
