Eels are tough possible early-game enemies xD

There are some even nastier water creatures, too, overall tough because fighting these things in the water puts you at a disadvantage, and they won't generally surface enough at range to kill with ranged attacks... I had to get by one to reach a chest on the other side of water once, and best I could do was magically pacify it for a bit while I slipped by :P (in some cases it can be effective to use a mercenary/ally to coax them out at the water's edge and use ranged attacks while they attack your friend...)

The disadvantage seems to be quite hefty, but I like the idea nonetheless.

I finished watching your tutorial playthrough after I was done with mine. You got through much faster then I did because I had to backtrack multiple times. I stored most of my items in my donkey before fighting the eel and forgot to get them back afterwards. And at the goblin pallisades I oversaw the sign and burnt the firewood to cook me something to eat right in place. At least I could chop down some trees in the room where you learnt about making fire and cooking. :-D

In the end it was a very fun experience. And that was “only” the tutorial. If the rest of the game comes even close, I’m sold!

Ha dang I got through the tutorial faster? Maybe turn-wise faster, though probably not real time? We talked through the whole thing so it seemed to take forever :P. But yeah, good intro to the mechanics, though I did forget about the tree-chopping when I later started actual runs, so that was unfortunate because it's a really useful/important mechanic in game (unlike pushing boulders around, which I have yet to find any especially useful way to take advantage of xD).

Game itself definitely has quite a lot to offer already, even this WIP state!

Lol. Players are doing all kinds of things I didn't expect. Probably it would have been possible to burn the palisade without the firewood by just starting a small fire and then throwing the oil on it.
