Major update: PANIC TOWER 48 v0.1.0-playtest.16 is now available!
Thank you very much to everyone who tested the previous version and sent feedback.
I have now released a major update based on the external playtest feedback I received.
Major improvements include:
- Clearer first-play guidance and command flow
- Improved character selection and evacuation controls
- Clearer route, warning, hazard, and outcome feedback
- Improved smoke, rescue, elevator, and fire-door information
- Better character movement and positioning
- Improved readability in large 48-floor scenarios
- Improved HUD and forecast information
- Better keyboard navigation and accessibility
- Improved English and Japanese UI
- Numerous fixes based directly on previous external QA feedback
The game can now be played directly in the browser, with no installation required. A Windows version is also available.
Play here: https://screenmateworks.itch.io/panic-tower-48
For a first test, I recommend the 8-floor scenario / Standard mode / about 10–15 minutes.
This time I am especially interested in:
- Is it clear what to do as a first-time player?
- What is interesting or fun to watch?
- What is still confusing?
- Does anything feel slow or repetitive?
- Do your decisions visibly affect the outcome?
- Is the game readable when the disaster becomes busy?
- Would you play it again?
Previous testers are especially welcome to try the new version again, as I would love to know whether the problems you reported have actually improved.
New testers are very welcome too. Even a few sentences of honest feedback are useful.
Thank you!
