Appreciate you saying so! Wasn't so sure about adding in the ambient sounds, but I really wanted the song to have more of a diegetic feel and that seemed like the best way to accomplish it, short of writing out a whole narrative. I'm glad you mentioned that it made you feel curious too because, upon reflection, putting this together was its own journey in curiosity. This was my first time using the plugin I used to make that arpeggio (Plinko), and the randomness that came out of that ended up becoming the foundation for the rest of the track. Even with the percussion, I ended up just going through and clipping/moving stuff around until it sounded cool. I'd highly recommend it for inspiration, and it looks like it's getting re-released for free later this month on a Cymatics livestream. I saw on your submission you're big into freeware {same}, so if you can tolerate how long their streams are, there's a lot of free stuff to be had.

Plinko, huh... I'll make sure to look into it, it sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the rec. I'm familliar with Cymatics, their spam emails are annoying but their plugins and sample packs are pretty damn useful.

Oh yeah, feels like I get several emails/texts a day that say "click here for something free" just kidding you have to come to the livestream. Now I just keep the download page up in the background and check it every once in a while instead of watching.
