For the reverb, you could try to put your voices on 2 tracks: one dry, one wet (with 100% reverb or less). You can then adjust the level of that track for more or less reverb, instead of using a "mix" knob that may (depending on your plugin), reduce your dry when increasing your wet.
It'd be great if you had a "decay" or "feedback" knob to reduce the length of the reverb without altering the spatialization it provides. I can recommend you the plugin "valhalla supermassive" which is a wonderful reverb. You can do a ton of cool things with it: huge reverbs, weird reverbs/echoes, small reverbs, and you have a lot of control over it.
