oh my god ! i'm so happy i played this today ^^ i know benji means well but he can be overbearing sometimes. i did his 'route' first & it felt like he's gradually making the MC become more dependent on him in spite of her wishes for boundaries. although it came from genuine concern, it's being distorted and transforming into control instead. i feel like i know where the mc is coming from, maybe she wants to prove benji she can on her own, and it can get suffocating when you're being police and the fear overrides trust benji is supposed to have , truly capturing the psychological complexity since it's evident benji also perhaps developed trauma(?) in every attempts the mc makes. it breaks my heart since you can see benji needs help too... i hope we delve more into this paranoia of his ! obsessive-compulsive tendencies of some sort too

ellis !!! he really is like a man who came out of victorian era, ik he's a red flag but damn, he's just so charming T-T whenever he speaks, it just makes me wanna baby him lmaoooo. i can see how he respects mc's space since he himself can be elusive like a cat, needing a time for themselves!  i adore how they both have intimate conversation under the moonlight (i saw how moonlight became ellis' trademark waaah) they're baring their soul towards each other and that connection is precious. it's hard to find people who just gets you y'know, you can be friends with others but be reluctant to share your wounds in fear of burdening them or they have different views. i love it, i love ellis' character so much! i admit i have a type for handsome lonewolfs who are emotionally intelligent hHHHHHHHHHH

wait update faaaaaaaaah i'm a fan of their dynamic,

he gives too much (ellis) x she is too much (not really) (mc)

I'm so happy you played this too! Thank you so much! You seem to have a great understanding of Benji's character! Control is one of the variables that can get influenced depending on choices with Benji. He'll always need control, but the intensity and ways in which he maintains it may shift. You are also right, he has his own traumas...not that this justifies his actions in any way.

Yaaaay so glad that Ellis resonated with you! In many ways, Ellis is more accepting of player and doesn't try to change them. I think that's what draws them together at first. He provides a type of empathy that the player has never had, but he's also controlling in his own way, since he believes he knows what's best. In a very general nutshell, Benji is "let's stay together because you need me," & Ellis is "let's stay together because it's destiny."

Thank you sooo much again for playing & sharing these wonderful thoughts!
