Very fun take on the theme!
I like that it is only the bounce that actually kits the target, makes you be a little bit more careful/deliberate with your shots. I also like how this actually adds an interesting layer of difficulty when the clones stack up.
I think this is a good base for an arcade type game, I think it would have be fun if the rounds ramped up a bit, maybe having to hit the target a few more times.
Another idea maybe, the time in which you finished the last round somehow acts as an added timer for the next one to expand even more on that your choices affect the next run gimmick
