It took me a while to get the seam instruments to really be something excellent to use. They sound fantastic, but in order to reach their full potential, you gotta play with automation a lot. The issue is that since they aren’t FL native, adding automation to them requires going into the project files on the left and finding the instrument and the exact parameter you want to automate.
I’ve had them for years and only during this jam did I finally figure out how to do that downwards slide that you can hear the piccolo doing a few songs.
Another great use of the seam instruments is to act as solo instrument. Say you have a big brass orchestra VST, having a SWAM trumpet is nice because you can use it as a solo and keep the rest of the brass. SWAM instruments are different enough from all the other instruments I’ve used that they stand out in a crowd and are very flexible.
