This was a fun take on childhood (and adulthood) fears on dark buildings and spaces, never knowing what lurks behind a corner or at the end of the corridor. The use of liminal spaces felt cohesive throughout in an oppressive way. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I never saw any creatures? or maybe it was the intention to make the player paranoid without any monsters lurking with the possibility of running into one? Nevertheless, I think the beginning could be expanded to its own game with a few floors and apartments to explore. I spend a lot of time trying to open the doors and just going back and forth in the corridor built tension for me at least! Great job, you used the dark in a very effective way and made it feel very creepy in a nostalgic way!

Heya!
Thank you for playing our game! Your feedback is much appreciated, however I suspect you played the old version which is unfortunately broken and doesn't have all the content we made. There is more to the game as you initially saw. if you'd like here is the fixed (somewhat, i haven't updated it and it might have some misplaced textures.) version: https://smortmonki.itch.io/the-creature-fixed
I hope you find some time in your day to check it out as well and I'd love feedback when you get around to it.
Tip: use the computer, you can interact with all the icons found on the screen with your mouse.
Its like a game in a game and you'll have to find out what happens next yourself.
Have fun!
