It would be nice if creators could use their payout balance directly on itch.io.

for example, instead of withdrawing the money, you could choose to spend it on games, assets, tools, or other content from the marketplace.

this could be especially useful for people who have limited payout options in their country, and it would also keep more money inside the itch.io ecosystem.

not sure how difficult it would be to implement, but I think it would be a useful option to have.

They would need a wallet system for that. And shifting money around between users is a can of worms. Taxes, refunds, and of course, bad actors.

On a platform where only users spend and only publishers earn, that is a lot easier to implement.

If Itch would handle this directly and with full wallet and user2user money flow, they probably would need an international banking license.
