..... This unfortunately went from probably my favorite VN to one I'm genuinely considering dropping.
I was excited for so long for Asterion's sex scene because I expected it to be so sweet and beautiful, but.
Due to the situation with the narration...

For some reason, in an explicitly M/M story, you decided to have the sex scene entirely narrated by a bunch of voyeuristic old women, set on a shrine to a woman, and have women mentioned every other sentence (various goddesses). I'm at the very least relieved that the pregnancy kink and genital shifting bit didn't culminate in him actually having a vagina/uterus, but it's insane that I had to genuinely be concerned about that for a good minute.
I ended up having to skip most of it all because it was just wildly uncomfortable.
I know this will have people trying to accuse me of misogyny or whatever, but god forbid someone want to not have women involved in an intimate gay scene, I guess.
It's doubly disappointing because I genuinely liked how the narration worked up until then, the little hints being dropped that it's actually someone specific and not just an abstract narrator with no actual 'being' attached as one might usually expect.
There were a dozen ways you could've gone about this, and you picked nearly the worst.
To be clear, I'm not saying "never have any women at all". I loved the narrator before this, loved Greta, love so many female characters across so many fantastic stories (and shitty ones, as well - tragic how many fun characters are stuck in stories that cannot utilise them properly).
But.
I'm so tired of having the rug pulled from under me in what are supposed to be good, GAY stories.
