I think it should be clearer that you need to select cards you want to play in the final line up. Currently it just smoothly went over to the final decision without having the change to choose anything.
Maybe after all the cards have been dealt a more concrete pause in the flow and instruct the player to "Choose the cards to play", that would keep most of the gameplay the same, but help with the part where I constantly didn't choose anything since I was waiting on the last card. :D
