A potentially stupid question.

So, I recently gained a new laptop because of Reasons(TM). As such, I intended to transfer my file of the game from the old laptop to the new one. After some troubles, I succeeded. Partially. As far as I can tell, all the files were transferred successfully, but, loading up the game leads to a fresh start screen, as though this was my first time opening it. I have no idea what I did wrong or how I did so, but it would appear as though my computer does not believe my save file exists.

I understandably do not wish to start from 0 and as such, would like to ask for aid in recovering said save file to avoid said scenario.

This isn't a stupid question at all! You had the right idea, just the wrong execution.

RPG Maker stores its saves in your computer's Roaming AppData folder. If you type %appdata% into your search bar, you'll find the folder where your saves are in. Transferring those over to the same spot on your new laptop will carry over your saves!

Would you look at that, the ancient technique known as "ask the dev nicely" worked. Worked like a charm. Thank you.
