I wanted to make something odd-sounding... and soooo IIII did.....
inspired heavily by Persona3-4 OST and inspired not heavily by Earthbound (I don't think you can hear that)

my 4th OST jam and my 1st time not hating my tracks after submitting..... wowzers. I'd call that an achievement
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
...uh. Poorly. See, the entire jam I was hyperfocused on the "forgotten world" part of it, so technically there aren't any "songs" of any "forgotten worlds"... Buuuut the (hypothetical) game is about a character that has "forgotten" about the real world, and instead has been living in fantasy via lucid dreaming. They stumble upon the MEMORYWORLD, which holds MEMENTOS (small worlds of memories, repeating the same thing over and over, almost like a looped video) and MIND PALACES (individual people's minds, connected to Mementos). In there, they discover their ability to connect mementos to mind palaces, which they use to help people around them remember (..or forget) certain memories... (that makes the forgotten memories "forgotten worlds", by the way... Yeah. Yeah I'm sooo smart. I'm soooo clever.)

ok real talk this submission is fire and everyone keeps telling you how fire it is and i really wanna sit here and do that but im gonna be evil and give feedback
y'all always execute instrumentation super nicely! the first track is a great example of that - love these soundfonts... i concur that teto is a little unclear at times and i'm unable to make out what exactly she is saying, but i think it might be that the lower end is overpowering her a little bit, particularly in the second track. this is something a noticed generally, where sometimes the lower end can obscure what's happening. could be my hearing problems though! not complaining though cuz y'all write some SICK JUICY basslines CRANK IT
really like the way melodic lines are written in this submission!! very similar to jazz improv lines. i eat it up every time. i'm also someone who writes faster-paced melodies, and within this style, it's easy to compose a line that's super unclear with no tonal center. that's not the case here - everything has a clear shape! same thing with the panning - it's done thoughtfully and makes the tracks feel more immersive, as if i'm actively playing the game. continuing with the composition aspect, i really love your chord progressions. i don't know if y'all did it intentionally, but i heard some secondary dominants... abnd i love secondary dominants..... yummy slaps my big belly
i love these percussion lines as well! they're well written and drive each track with a lot of intention. the nature of this genre requires the percussion to be louder, but sometimes i'd say it goes a little bit over and becomes a little bit distracting from the melody. not to a significant degree, but enough to make note!

hello!!!! thanks for the feedback....... i dont know about frozzy (almost pukes when mentioning him) but I sure do appreciate it!!
regarding teto being unclear at times: it was kind of intentional but also not really lol. the entire thing is inspired by the Persona OST which is not only known well for being unclear when it comes to vocals, but also treats them as "background noise" - for japanese people, english words are less distracting and blend in with the song more easily in-game.
why am I telling you that? Well, my brain is overflowing with Persona brainrot right now so that probably unintentionally slipped in here too without my explicit permission........
i'll be applying this feedback to my future vocal osts. even if the feedback is coming from someone with hearing problems...... (i trust you though so its okay)
