bruh how does me not liking a game stop me from criticizing it? reviews exist for a reason yk also I literally said my friend suggested I play this
I’m not trying to argue with you here or change your mind about the game. You have every right to not like something and that’s ok. But your original comment wasn’t really critiquing, it’s honesty just insults. The only critique you kind of have is saying the proportions are confusing, but saying the art is bad or characters are corny isn’t a critique because it doesn’t offer any actual explanation as to why you think that, or offering advice on how to improve something. Again, not arguing here, just giving my two cents.
He’s totally allowed to give his opinion, but he was also honestly rude while doing it. But a rude comment is genuinely not the end of the world, especially since a lot of people seem to like this game anyway. My thing was people often mistake giving critique for simply giving opinions, or even insulting a piece of work. I just like acknowledging the difference.
people these days have such a skewed view of what is rude or not because the original comment was rude as hell. insults without actual critiques isn't a "review" its literally just rude. "corny" and "bad" arent critiques, they're insults without explanation for things that are extremely subjective, and the art style is what draws most of the audience for art based things, so this person literally just played a game that they never would have at the behest of a friend, then proceeds to insult the artist who made it while not providing one iota of useable feedback. its literally the definition of rudeness.
no need for me to get into a deep dive over a character's personality that's still in demo lol I just used a singular word to describe him as a whole bc that's how he came off to me ''corny'' isn't even much of an insult if the creator cries bc of it then idek what to tell u get off the internet bc ppl can be way more meaner to u since I'm apparently rude and insulting them
