Heya,

I'm working on organizing a collaboration between all of the Shadowdark creators from Appx. N Jam. If you're interested find me on the SD Discord or msg on bsky.

I really like how the locations are described. Terse but evocative, and gives just enough that I can roll with it when GMing. One piece of feedback that I have is that the rest of the text could lean a bit more into Shadowdark conventions to simplify the text, like using x:6 for formatting the chance of things, saying that the area is deadly to connect to the 1:6 chance of random encounter every hour, and assuming DC 9 for an easy roll for the lunathyne (or 12 if it was meant to be normal).

I find it neat that a hallucinogenic drug is at the center of the conflict here. Knowing my players, I think that they would side with the wolf-riders as soon as they learned about Mother Moon and lunathyne :D I think there is an opportunity to play out the riders as being a bit more sympathetic, with the loggers and trappers posing a real threat to the existence of lunathyne and the connection with Mother Moon.

One thing that I feel is definitely underplayed in the adventure is the lunar thralls! The adventure makes me think that the whole cult is very lucky and/or very charismatic as there are not lunar thralls around. Or maybe the cult knows when they transform and hunts them down? Either way, it just goes to show that there’s a lot of interesting gameplay and worldbuilding potential in this adventure.

Great pitch for a mild prompt. That's how you make your creativity work! Everything is at the right spot, i truely love this little, fairysh, dark adventure.  Will play and enjoy, no doubt

The Wolf-Riders have a really neat backstory - not what I was expecting from the title, but very cool! I’m also a fan of the map, the usage of color really draws on the moonlight illuminating the valley. The Moon Mask is a cool magic item, and there are lots of great pieces of mundane treasure and gear sprinkled at each location. Super cool!

There is a (somewhat sordid) history of Wolf hunting in recent recorded history which lends the adventure's hooks authenticity. All of the preamble and explanations of exploration are appreciated and set the scene for a GM more than amply.

As a point crawl of sorts I'd like to have seen at least an NPC or two with a personality, wants, and drives that align with or against the Wolf-Riders.

The content and locations of the adventure are all fun and I enjoyed the magic items design.

There's not a delve here, nor hordes of loot, but I appreciate the trend of above ground content coming to Shadowdark. It's clear that this adventure would fit right in to the Western Reaches and slot just about anywhere into a hex to provide a nice drop in adventure for players on their travels.

Really love that this makes wolves interesting again. And the text is quite poetic too! Mother Moon is such a great name for a God.

Lovely design on dispatching a number of enemies to conclude.

Great layout and design. This would be easy and fun to run.
