Description
The City of Elmarit is an action roguelite, set in a distant future of earth. Players nurture a mobile settlement, protected against the world’s corrupted by an otherworldly radiation. Protected by the Reverse-Field the wandering cities became the only inhabitable place in the world.

To grow their city, players must venture into the wilderness to recover resources and relics of old. More challenging expeditions yield knowledge of the old world that may help to protect the city against the ever-growing Otherness.

This project contains Text, Music, Audio and Drawings.

The Otherness is genuinely unsettling, and the logs do a great job building dread as things spiral. The best part for me is the myth vs. reality angle, the real scientists becoming gods and villains over centuries is such a good detail.

One thing I'd poke at: the tone feels split between cozy cute and full-on body horror. That contrast can work, but I'm curious how you'd balance them. Also, the roguelite death mechanic is very forgiving, as you keep 10% of resources and never truly die. Fits the cozy vibe, but it does lower the stakes. Curious how you'd keep tension high without punishing players too hard.

The music was great as usual, solid stuff!

I forgot to post the actual comment earlier in the week, I got very sick and just now recovering 😅

Quite a complete package with the world/character materials, voice acting stuff and music!

The setting was cool and the music and it's production quality was 5/5, though it was to be expected at this point with who were making them 😁

The little showcase of the dynamic music system was also a nice addition, probably should finally start to try and play around with that stuff myself 😄

Good work from all!

Plenty of stuff here and cool ideas. I digged the concept of the wandering cities, and rummaging through all the assets you submitted I could get a general picture of this world you were aiming to depict. Regarding the assets presented, the difference in development stage of each of them was very varied, from clearly a draft to a more finished product, but among them the superdetailed PRD/HLD document was particularly useful for having a clear image of the game/world (it is also the first time I read one of these and it was really interesting to get a peak at how games are actually designed).

The fragmented nature of the materials and the lack of a character-driven narrative, or connected musical pieces or artworks made it difficult to have a sense of progressing story, vibe or deep emotional connection, and that might be detrimental to the experience of the viewer and make it less immersive, as one lacks a guiding line to hold onto, but I understand your entry was more thought of as a virtual pitching of a game concept, and for that it works great and feels really comprehensive.

Really great quality here. I felt the music tracks were well-produced, and I'm impressed with the variety of content. It even comes with voice acting.
