These are excellent questions!
The original idea was for the Awakened Moth to have hypnotized the workers into helping them. But, I felt that removed agency from the workers. In my head there are always divisions in groups of people. That's why I didn't want the weavers to be onboard with rushing in and starting a fight on orders from the Head Weaver. And, while maybe only some Wrangers are sympathetic to the Moths and the others couldn't care less and just see them as a bargaining chip. Honestly I probably should've read more books about rebellions.
