sounds like a cool idea! i loved beating up brainrot vegetables… maybe the combat could use a bit more variety, though
Very fun. Wish you could exit out the boss fight, i forgot to upgrade anything and was getting 2 shot.
A bit too easy :) But then the boss was quite hard because I didn't feel the need to buy upgrades and couldn't come back to fix the problem :D
Pretty good, you should consider expanding on the idea into a roblox game, I would see people enjoying farming and killing plants with friends
Not really familiar with Roblox dev but heard it's easy,I might try since I have like all the stuff needed basically
This was a lot of fun. The seeds could have been a bit cheaper, but I liked that they all had unique attacks and the Boss fight was fun.
If I may ask,how long did it take for you to beat the game?
I'm not 100% sure but probably like 10 minutes.
I managed to buy almost everything with potatoes. Then I switched to watermelons. Carrots and grapes didn’t really click for me, though maybe I just didn’t find the right approach to them.
Grinding coins was pretty boring, actually — possibly because potatoes turned out to be so convenient that I didn’t feel like trying anything else.
The boss took some running around. Sometimes I couldn’t keep up with reading the attacks — with the circular spikes, you have to guess from the visible part of the circle in front of you, and the circles on the ground are barely noticeable. That said, I don’t think I ever actually got hit by them. The radial spikes, on the other hand, were quite hard to dodge.
so i should lower potato income while i still can i guess? or do i keep as is
That depends on what you were going for. My read was that if the economy is meant to push the player into fighting different opponents, then potatoes being convenient enough to skip everything else works against that. But I wasn’t sure that was the plan, so I just described my experience rather than how it’s supposed to work.
P.S. Also, I’m not sure it’s a safe quick fix — cutting potato income might make the early game harder.
its a jam so i made the game to be played fast,no real economy(well,i put a bit of thought,so no "no real economy"). you beat the game way faster if you buy better plants, you just went with the easier but longer way i guess
Makes sense for a jam. I did try them all — carrots and grapes just didn’t click for me, so I skipped them since I could.
