God damn. Reading your comment genuinely makes me really happy.
As I said, unfortunately, I just didn’t have enough time to give the game the level of polish and love it deserved, let alone add more content and features. So seeing that someone immediately understood the vision behind it, even with the limited amount of time I had to actually develop it, is incredibly motivating and honestly just a really nice feeling.
I was genuinely struggling toward the end, too. I normally always use version control, usually through a GitHub repository with Fork as my Git client, but for some reason I didn’t do it this time, and that almost broke me. About half an hour before the jam ended, I accidentally deleted the entire "boss fight" scene. Luckily, I had duplicated it beforehand, so I was able to use that as a backup. I had simply disabled all the objects I didn’t need at the time, so I spent the remaining half hour restoring everything and quickly recreating the player movement settings as closely as I could to how I originally had them.
And yeah, that’s also why it’s a development build. Otherwise, I simply wouldn’t have made it in time.
Thank you so much for playing the game and for leaving such a genuinely lovely comment/review. It really means a lot!
