Thanks for the heads up! I just updated the Discord link and made sure it won't expire this time.
Great question. This is similar in concept, but it requires absolutely no syntax whatsoever and is more robust in its offerings. Crochet still requires typing out Chatterscript, and there's no inherent Scribble integration.
What I wanted to do here was make a dream tool, especially for writers who may not be familiar with working in GameMaker directly, that would allow them to see all of the options that Scribble and Chatterscript provide without needing to know any code/syntax whatsoever. What's more is that you can then visualize exactly what the dialogue will look like in Weave, and it pushes straight to GameMaker, and then comes with scripts that work on the GameMaker side so all you have to do is simply call WeaveStart(NODE.[your node name here]).
I'm also currently working on a scene editor feature where you can actually pull your GameMaker rooms and sprites, and use Weave to "direct" the scene (things like animations, movement, etc), and push the data to GameMaker. Trying to streamline not only the dialogue itself but even entire cutscenes.
