  • Graphics : The style is fine but some things could do with a bit of an improvment imo , like the buttons
  • GUI :
    • The font isn't particularly great / fitting imo
    • The 3 red lights
  • Performance : Fine
  • Music / Sfx :
    • Music : Absent , really could use something.
    • SFX : Mostly fine, but might need some balancing.
  • Gameplay : Fine but slow and a bit repetitive , a bit of Papers Please & No I'm not a Human
  • Notes :
    • When listening to folks through the phone, it could be taken off the receiver. Even if it was only lifted above it slightly, but would ideally be brought to ear out of frame.
    • Certain folks should be a gray area , where they count as a correct execution or admittance.
    • What's the story here, is it a post-apocalypse?
    • The red lights on the top right are correlating to something (correct visitors?) but I don't believe it's stated what it's representing in game and I thought it was a 3 strikes you're out system (similar to how PP you can make a couple of goofs before game over).
    • It really is rather unclear on who you're supposed to let in and not , I seemingly got a perfect score by the end but I feel like it was more luck than understanding what was supposed to be the tells on which button to press.
  • Final Thoughts : Overall it's fine but it feels really rather repetitive and runs out of steam by the time you finish it, there really could be more to do here for the social deduction.

Hey, I gave your game a play.  Very interesting!  Love the lofi, ps1 aesthetic.  I see the previous comment about giving more feedback about progression and things, and I think I agree on that count.  But maybe making it ambiguous could be interesting too.  Like, you never actually know if you're making the right decision or not?  But that might be more interesting than actually fun?  I saw the 4 red lights, and had one light up.  Does that mean I got one wrong?  Anyway, overall very intuitive in terms of how it works, and an I like that it's a "simple" decision based on not too much information.  And I love how the story and world unfolds slowly with each new person.  Here's a few specific notes:

--Making the player type in the number feels a little tedious, but maybe that's the point?  A mundane job where you decide on life and death.  Same thing with all of the repeated text on all of the reports

--I really like the sudden shock/effect when you choose the red button.  Hammers it home.

--I didn't encounter any bugs

--Why can I always ask them to repeat their number?  Can they get it wrong the second time?  I never saw that, but maybe I didn't play long enough (or I wasn't paying attention).

Hello! Thank you so much for playing my game and for the great feedback.

I actually made this in 7 days for the Brackeys Game Jam, and I really want to improve it because I’m planning to put it on Steam. The theme was 'trust no one,' so I put it into the game in two ways: will you trust your emotions or the system?

Regarding your note about the tedious typing and repeated text, that was actually intentional! I wanted to create that mundane, bleak job atmosphere where you feel like a small cog in a massive bureaucracy. However, for the Steam version, I will definitely work on balancing and polishing this so it stays engaging without losing that specific vibe.

Thanks again for the support and the specific notes, they are very helpful!

I really liked the core loop in this! Listening to the Executioner on the walkie talkie, hearing the person at the gate on the call, then checking their information. Swapping between the 3 parts of the loop before needing to make the call to let them in or not was very engaging. There was a nice level of sound effects and juice on them as well.

I'm really interested in the world you've made for this as well. I like the 1 person that said their friend "wasn't bitten." Makes me wonder if this is a Zombie world? Or if that's from an animal or something? Either way, I like what's there and can see clear room for expansion.

My only note is, I really would've liked more feedback on if I was making progress with each successful or not successful decision. I wasn't too sure of my end goal, whether it was to get a certain amount correct, get as many as right as I could, or if this would be split into days on the job or something. Some more clear messaging for the game's secondary loop could really help expand this if that's what you're looking today. Thanks for submitting, I'm glad I got to play this!

Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! I'm glad you liked the core loop, sound design, and the lore—the zombie/infection side is definitely something I want to expand on!

You're completely right about the progress feedback. Clearer goals and better progression indicators are on my list for future updates. Thanks for playing!
